Autism is a neurological disability characterized by severe impairment in verbal communication, difficulty in forming social relationships and presence of compulsively repetitive or ritualistic behaviours such as hand flapping, feet stamping, rocking, etc.

World Autism Awareness Day is observed on the 2nd of April. On this day, measures are taken to raise awareness about children living with autism throughout the world.
Management of autism in Nigeria can be quite challenging for many parents especially when the issue is compounded by ignorance and inability to access crucial developmental services for their children.

This year, for World Autism Awareness Day, the Children’s Developmental Centre working with The Halo Foundation and other orgaznizations would be organizing A Joint Compassionate Walk for Autism. The walk would begin at 7am and the starting point is GTbank Ilupeju to Jibowu, Yaba.

We invite you all to join the walk, together let us create awareness about Autism.
